Getting Involved & 2026 Calendar

Meet people like you who have a passion for making the rivers we care about that much better for future generations!  As an all-volunteer, local nonprofit, we rely on people like you to step up in many ways to make a difference, keep our chapter community strong and grow our impact through conservation projects and education programs. Volunteers help us:

  • Make our rivers healthier by attending one-day events like trash cleanups and tree plantings
  • Invest in the future by supporting our youth education programs, or serving as a mentor at a youth fishing day
  • Lead the way by serving on one of our committees, or joining our board of directors

To get started, connect with a Eagle Valley TU board member at one of our monthly gatherings or coming events, or  contact us to learn more.

PRESERVED is a new documentary that explores one of the largest and most ambitious private conservation efforts in the United States. Among the topics covered, the film chronicles the largest inland trout restoration project in North America (in which Trout Unlimited was a partner). More than 60 miles of stream and 13 lakes have been restored to support the native Rio Grande Cutthroat Trout. The work involved removing non-native species, building barriers, and rebuilding natural habitat—an effort that took years of planning and hands-on conservation. The film\’s director Ben Clark will be at the screening on Friday night.  And a panel discussion will be held thereafter at the theater.
3/21/26: Ice breaking
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is searching for volunteers to help break the ice on the Eagle River near Minturn on SaturdayMarch 21st in preparation for fish monitoring later in the spring. If you own a pair of waders and like being around streams in the winter, CPW could use your help. Those who assist with ice breaking will also be invited to help with the fish shocking survey in April.

Volunteers needed to join us for a morning of arbor tree planting along Brush Creek. Help restore riparian habitat in the Brush Creek Watershed.
